YWCA Kitchener-Waterloo is working towards achieving barrier free accessibility for persons with disabilities accessing services, working at and visiting the YWCA. Our guiding document is the AODA Accessibility Policy which states our commitment to addressing barriers that persons with disabilities face in the areas of customer service, information and communications, employment and transportation.
Accessibility planning is a shared responsibility across the whole Association. It is coordinated by our Human Resources Department located within the administration offices at 153 Frederick Street, Kitchener, ON, N2H 2M2.
We are working on identifying, preventing and removing barriers to our services, programs, facilities, policies, practices and procedures. You can read about these initiatives in our 2012 – 2017 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.
