Feeling tired, anxious and stressed?


It may be because you’re a woman, and according to data released by the World Economic Forum, that means you do a lot more unpaid work than a man does. Four hours and 47 minutes a day of unpaid work, compared to a man’s one hour and 30 minutes, in fact! And all that time spent caring for others means a lot less time to care for you!

Self-care is care you provide to yourself. It’s identifying your own needs and taking steps to meet them. It’s treating yourself as kindly as you treat others. It’s taking the time to do some of the activities that nurture you.

Candles and bubble baths can be helpful, but they don’t really reach deeply into the heart, mind and attitude of self-care. Please join Registered Expressive Arts Psychotherapist Cathy Middleton on Tuesday May 29th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Kitchener, as she guides participants through a fun and interactive personal self-care journey. Together you’ll explore, laugh, discover and re-discover your unique paths all in the curious spirit of gentle self-care.
