Wish List

Let’s face it- we all tend to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Would you agree?

We spend stressful hours at malls or shoppes, we chase after our children’s Christmas wish-lists and trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on our list. At times, while the Christmas season should be full of warmth, love, magic, family and friends – we allow anxiety and stress to kick in diluting what the meaning of this time of year is actually about.

Could you imagine having to run away from your home because you’re being abused by your partner?

What if you lost your job, your apartment or home and there was no where else to turn?

And what if you were trying to turn your life around for the better but you just couldn’t get a break – no matter how hard you tried?

It wouldn’t really feel like that warm holiday feeling if you were facing one of the above situations, right?

That’s the reality of many of our clients in our programs. Christmas has lost it’s meaning and instead of trying to stay on top of your list – you’re just trying to stay alive or keep your children safe.

We accept donations from individuals and corporations of new and gently used items for women and their families in our programs. Your items help to minimize expenses and provide the basic needs and comforts of home.
